T.G.I.F. (and Bleeker Street - Part 3)

Once we hit Bleeker and 6th Avenue, we walked north because it was almost time for class. We had to move pretty quickly to make the 23 blocks to the school, but we did have just enough time to drop in to Yummy to pick up a take-out falafel sandwich. In class, we covered 2 chapters of our textbook, ServSafe (which is all about food safety and preventing food-related illnesses, etc). Our instructor, Neil (pictured), has predicted that I will get a 100 on the ServSafe exam. THE PRESSURE! We then watched the rest of Supersize Me, the movie. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend doing so. We got out of class a little early and 5 of us headed to this new lounge in the Village called Honey. I've passed it a few times while out walking around and the last time, I made sure to remember where it was so we could go there sometime. It was great! Todd met us all there, we had a little bite to eat and enjoyed Happy (Three) Hours. Once we left Honey, we bundled up, caught a downtown train, and got some rice pudding at a place called Rice to Riches (a store dedicated entirely to Rice Pudding)! We walked around a little afterwards, but it was starting to rain, it was cold and we were all tired, so we said our good-byes and called it a night.
